Congress's star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who has restricted her public meetings to Amethi and Rae Bareli, has said her brother and Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, isn't running for prime minister.
"I do not think that (becoming PM) is the central focus of his politics. We have an extremely good prime minister. We are fortunate to have a person who is honest and works well, and I don't think this question arises at the moment," Priyanka said on Sunday, adding that he did not see his career in terms of holding posts of party president or becoming PM, which the media makes constant reference to.
Priyanka said Rahul's sole focus was to revamp the Congress in Uttar Pradesh. She said, "He is not concerned about his reputation. Only cowards don't lead from the front."
